Breastfeeding/Nappy change in cafe?
My daughter and her friend visited a local cafe, they ordered something from the menu and breastfed their babies. Her friend went to have a look at some toys within the shop,while my daughter changed her babys' nappy within the pram so as not to annoy other customers. The manager came and asked my daughter to leave the premises, no reason given. This happened in a Toys'R'Us in Scotland, there was a customer that seemed unhappy about the Mums' breastfeeding. Was the manager within his rights to ask my daughter to leave.
It's protected under law, like other people have said.
BFeeding is just a none-issue with me. People may see the tiiiiniest flash of nipple while she's latching on or off, but you see far more at any beach, or late night TV show, and anyone that is watching that intently has problems lol.
The nappy thing I can understand though, if you're eating you don't want to smell baby poop, it just doesn't smell nice ! (At least it is BF, FF sooooo much worse!)
Tell your daughter that anyone that complains in future is breaking the law and they can ramm it.
As far as the 'cover up' brigade goes, my daughter has latching problems, she hates her head being covered, or her feet, she hates the dark, and she is loud. Which would you prefer, a tiiiiny sliver of skin, or a screaming baby.
