Why does my kitten have no affection toward me?
I have a kitten that I found in the hood of the honda civic 03.That day I took Chester to the vet and he was healthy. The vet said Chester was 5 weeks, and he is now 6 weeks. He use to rub against me but in two days; after I fed him, played toys with him, brought him a litter box, and scratching post; he just bites me to play, and does not ever want to be near me and avoids me. I have never hurt him or yelled. I been taking good care of him and he is a good cat
Kittens will be loving, sociable companions if they learn this from their mum and even then not by the time they are 5 weeks old! Your poor kitten has been taken away from its mum for whatever reason way too early, and has so much to learn.
However, you have your little fella and it is going to take him much much longer to trust you without his mum to reassure him. Having said this, you will be able to create a unique and close bond with your kitten. I had a siamese come live with me at the same age, and although she still bites me when she isn't in the mood to be stroked even now aged 7 (lol) but she trusts me and we have a special bond.
Keep taking good care of him, and you will have something unique.
