Lady wouldn't let the kid play with barbie dolls because they were "girl toys"? guided him to the trucks?
i'm 16 and i help teach at a daycare/preschool center. one of the ladies there won't let the boys play with the dolls, kitchen sets, etc. claiming they are "girl toys and you are boys. you play with boy toys". these kids are 3/4 years old. they just want to play. I babysit regularly for a family that has 3 kids, 3 boys ages 6 and 3, and a girl age 2. the boys are always playing dress up, playing house with their sister, playing with the dolls, etc. but they also play with their trucks and wrestle too. and the girl also play with her dolls and then goes and plays in the dirt and wreslt ewith the boys. i see nothing wrong with this. i mean, the boys aren't gonna be gay if they pretend to cook and like to play with dolls. i mean, that idea is just plain STUPID> what's wrong with people that they won't let boys play with dolls and girls play with trucks?!?!?!?
my dad growing up, he asked his mom for a pink play washing machine for Christmas and that's what he got. he's a great dad!!!
From personal experience. it is flawed and hypocritical child rearing. What do those toys represent? Do not boys grow up and date or marry females? Do they not become dads? In preparation in child birth classes are they not given dolls to practice on? Do these boys grow up to rent or own homes where they cook or clean using the real items instead of those toys/ Yes ! Is it approved by their parents? YES! Do little girls grow up to date an marry real military men? Drive or own real cars or trucks? ride on planes or trains or be pilots? Why then would you tell little girls that toys which represent those same realities for adult females are only for boys? Why would you tell boys that those toys which represent the realities of adult males are only for girls? It is hypocrisy based upon tradition and ignorance of parenting skills. Parents should be able to use those same toys to instill core values to make the children better adults. By using the same hypocritical teaching, the child is confused by what it observes those adult role models of the same gender doing and saying. They tell girls that the toy cars and trucks are for boys. However, these same ones would sue and rant if they were told that their real cars and trucks are only for men. See the insanity of such illogical thinking. It has nothing to do with causing a unisex result. It is simple ignorance of obvious fact. Having had dolls for decades never one time made me doubt my masculinity. It never made me feminine. It never made me desire to be homosexual. This is absolute facts which refute the theory that such toys cause an identity problem. The problem is with parents unskilled in the use of the toys and not the toys themselves. I heard a mother say her son told her he was not gay because Barbie was his favorite toy. She totally ignored what he had told her as she blabbered about her fear that he was gay on an Oprah show. Two idiots claiming to be experts used the argument of him being gender confused as his problem. The real problem is their ignorance to listen to the child cling to the traditional lies of child training. We are individual and not born with the same likes or dislikes. Therefore, is it not true that as adults. we exhibit that reality? Why then is it not rational to assume that children should not exhibit their individuality when it comes to their toys? If you give them toys that are not fun or enjoyableto them, do you expect them to have a favorable view of those same toys? If you hated liver and your boss told you to eat a plate full of it for lunch or break time, would you happily shove it down your throat? If you love liver, you would not have a problem doing it. However, individuality plays an important role in how you feel about what is being demanded of you. The fact that the taste does not agree with your taste buds and the amount with the stomach makes you feel an unfavorable feeling towards your boss and the liver itself.
