1st bday party for you little one...?

my son will be one year on feb 13th..
so im going to start planning his bday party by the end of the month..

many people have told me to not spend so much since he won't remember
& other's to go all out because it's our first child..

My husband wanted his bday party to be at our house
but I want it to be at Chuck e Cheese..
I've made a list of all the costs
& with the cake..decorations..goodie bags..invitations plus the cost at chuck e cheese it would come out to $500...

we are also getting him a powered buzz light year quad (for ages 12 months & up) & spending over $500 for his room that we are going to decorate with a toy story 3 theme plus put new carpet & new paint.. (table + chairs, couch, toy box, lamp, bedding) ALL toy story 3..

Im so exited..

Does Chuck E. Cheese seem fine for a 1st bday party?

If there are older kids there, they will love it. There isn't anything for a toddler to do there though, especially for a one-year-old. I'd keep him close. The kids there can be wild, and colds and the flu are spread very easily there, (especially in February!) since you have hundreds of kids wiping their noses with their hands then touching all of the games, which aren't cleaned well all that often.
