questions for a Toysmith plastic harmonica?
I have a Toysmith harmonica with a green tranlucent case and I think metal combs, but i'm not a harmonica expert. should I use this harmonica to play? (only 3 dollars) because I just cannot bend notes no matter what I read or watch or hear. I'm a beginner, and I"m NOT buying anything over 15 dollars.
1.Should I get an actual harmonica or keep using my toy one?
2.Can you bend on a toysmith harmonica?
3. If I should use a better harmonica, what is the best one you know under $15?
If you really want to learn on a harmonica toss that thing you have into the trash, Christmas is coming and ask for one. I'm not familiar with the Toysmith, but every other cheap one I have seen is garbage. A good harmonica will cost you about $30, but then it would be good enough to play in Carnegie Hall. Something like a Hohner Special 20 in the key of C is a nice harp.
If you are on a budget, you can get a lesson book, CD and a OK harp for under $12 on Amazon:
